Sunday Fit Prep
Your cheat sheet to a week of outfits you don't have to think about.
Happy Sunday, aka fit prepping day! The day we plan the looks, prep them, and hang them out so the whole week ahead already has its moments built in. so you walk into Monday with the good stuff ready to go, and you get to turn your brain all the way off.
Why Fit Prep matters more than it sounds like it should:
Here’s the thing no one tells you. the outfit was never the hard part. the deciding is. Every morning you skip the deciding, you’re not just saving ten minutes, you’re saving yourself from negotiating with the tired, running-late version of you who’s about to reach for the same black thing for the fourth time this week. Fit prep moves that decision to Sunday, when you actually have the brain space to be intentional. You plan once. You feel put-together seven times. It’s the difference between getting dressed and getting ahead … and once you feel it, you can’t go back.
New here? start with the very first fit prep to see exactly how I lay these out.
A little housekeeping: Fit Preps are free right now. Starting August, they move behind the paywall- paid subscribers only. So if this is becoming your Sunday ritual (and I have a feeling it is), now’s the moment to subscribe! :)
Off The Grid is where I keep the real stuff, the personal essays, the marriage + divorce series that started with 5 things I regret before my wedding, the behind-the-scenes of building and selling Phlur, The supplement + peptide deep dives, and now, every Sunday Fit Prep.
It’s [$6/month], and I promise it earns every penny. Subscribe below!
With that said, here’s this week!
MONDAY
Where I’m going: First-day-of-the-week office energy
The Vibe: Effortlessly put together. ready for business, but easing my way in.
The look:
Top: The Chriselle Tee (dropping this week get on the waitlist)
Bottom: Celine Boyfriend Jeans
Shoe: Proenza Tee Sandals
Bag: Hermes Kelly Bag
Extras: Frankie Shop Belt, Celine Reading Glasses
Styling note: add a belt before you tuck the tee into the boyfriend jeans in, it's the one move that keeps a relaxed denim-and-tee combo from reading too casual for the office.
TUESDAY
Where I’m going: Brunch on melrose with a friend + creative day of substacking (writing) and shooting content.
The Vibe: ballerina cozy. easy. feminine to the core.
The look:
Bottom: Elif Skirt
Shoe: Maison Margiela Tabis
Extras: Celine Reading Glasses
Styling note: Find fun bottoms! I have so many tops but realized that I dont have many interesting bottoms whether it be skirts or pants. I styled my whole look around this skirt. I bought it last week and so obsessed with how short it is underneath but the sheer mid length makes it feel not so short.
WEDNESDAY
Where I’m going: Office chic with plans afterward.
The Vibe: Preppy but make it cool.
The look:
Top: Jonathan Simkhai Sweater Polo layered with The Chriselle Tee
Bottom: Enza Costa Shorts
Shoe: Chanel Slingback Pumps
Bag: Chanel
Extras: LeSpec
Styling note: Wear the double layers; tee under the polo during the day, then lose the tee and unbutton the polo a little when you head out, same outfit, instant transition into evening.
THURSDAY
Where I’m going: Meetings Meetings Meetings + A fashion showroom appointment.
The Vibe: sleek, chic, effortless, all business underneath.
The look:
Top: The Chriselle Tee
Bottom: Guest House Pants
Bag: Celine Moon Bag
Sunglasses: Phoebe Philo glasses
Styling note: Sometimes the most understated all black looks are the most powerful. Throw a skinny scarf around your T to instantly elevate the look and give it more a of a Parisian sophistication. The Chriselle Tee comes with this detachable sheer chiffon Scarf . The Tee launches this week and will be a limited drop so make sure to get on the waistlist.
FRIDAY
Where I’m going: Art gallery and dinner reservations I’ve been looking forward to all week
The Vibe: structural, minimal, sophistication.
The look:
Dress: Voranida Dress ( I love this small designer- her pieces are incredibly special and unique)
Bag: Hunting Season Bag
Styling note: The dress is doing all the talking here, so keep it to one statement piece (the bag) and let everything else stay quiet.
SATURDAY
Where I’m going: Taking my mom and my girls out for some shopping & brunch.
The Vibe: Ladies who brunch but make it minimal & chic.
The look:
Top: Similar HERE
Bottom: Similar HERE
Bag: Celine (LOL I didn’t realize I still hadn’t remove the paper wrap on the handle.. just got this bag and im obsessed!)
Styling note: High waisted pants with a thin belt makes you look snatched!
SUNDAY
Where I’m going: Farmers Market, pool day, no where I have to be.
The Vibe: Sporty effortless beach mom. “I just rolled out of bed and threw this outfit together but it kind of works” kind of vibe.
The look:
Bottom: Urban Outfitters shorts (FYI, these are extremely short. They’re made from a mesh material and have a fold-over detail at the waist, which gives the illusion that you intentionally rolled them up.)
Shoe: Maison Margiela Tabis
Jewelry / extras: Harvard Hat similar
Styling note: Wear the bralette peeking out under the unbuttoned button-up instead of buttoned all the way, it's the difference between "errands" and "I still tried a little."
And that’s this week’s Fit Prep.
Same rule as always: take what works, leave what doesn’t. This is a skeleton, not a rulebook. Swap the heel for a flat. Skip the blazer if it’s ninety degrees out. Wear Thursday’s look on a Monday if that’s the day you need it. The whole point is that you already made the decision, so let it work for you.
If you know someone who’s still standing in front of their closet at 7am negotiating with themselves, send them here.
And if any of these made it into your week, tag meeeeee, leave a comment, send me the mirror selfie. I read every one, and I’m reposting my favorites.
Have a chic week. Brain off. 🤍
xo,
Chris
